This summer, our John Karl and Illinois-Indiana Sea Grant social scientist Caitie McCoy are co-producing a video on the benefits of cleaning up the Great Lakes. This Monday, they were on hand to hear Cameron Davis, advisor to EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson, talk about the successful Great Lakes Legacy Act cleanup of the Roxana Marsh on the Grand Calumet River in Indiana. Caitie coordinated community involvement and outreach for the project, including native plantings along the river by local students. For more info on the project, click here: http://bit.ly/M6BB5l
