Step 1. Open Excel file data which includes a column with the date and time of each bacteria sample.
Step 2. Delete all columns but date and time
Step 3. Format to be "mm/dd/yyyy hh:mm"
Step 4. Save as a text file and close
Step 5. Open a new Excel file
Step 6. Change first column cells to "Text" format
Step 7. Open the text file in a notepad/word pad and copy entire column
Step 8. Paste data into the new Excel file
Step 9. Create Formula =CONCATENATE(A1," CDT") in cell B2. (Put in the time zone for your beach if not CDT-EDT,EST,CSTr EDT)
Step 10. Copy and paste column B as text in the same cells.
Step 11. Delete column A. Save as a text file.
Step 12. Select this file at the EnDDaT data processing in the "Time Filters" section.
