Are you a diver yourself?

Yes. I have been diving since 1992. Many people get into underwater sciences because they like to dive and want to find a career that will allow them to dive. I did it the opposite way. The reason I started diving was so I could do underwater archaeology. However, I have become a diving fanatic. I love it. I try to go as often as possible, for work or for recreation.
