Weight: 12 - 32 ounces [340 - 900 grams]
Coloring: dark olive or gray to nearly black on back and upper sides, cream to white on lower sides and lower surface of head and body
Common Names: sturgeon sucker, northern sucker,
red sucker, finescale sucker, mullet

Great Lakes Habitat: Lake Superior,Lake Michigan, Lake Ontario, Lake Huron, Lake Erie


This long, tube-shaped fish inhabits clear, cold waters from the northern United States to the top of the North American continent. It is the only species of sucker that lives in Asia as well, commonly found in rivers of eastern Siberia.
