Wilson’s Snipe Field ID

Size: 10-12 inches

Wing span: 16-18 inches

Weight: 2.8-5.1 ounces

Color: The Wilson’s Snipe is a brownish bird with a heavily striped back, head, neck and breast, along with a dark eye stripe and dark bars on its sides and flanks. The white belly is unmarked. In flight, the bird shows an orange barred tail.
