Snow Bunting, Plectrophenax nivalis

For many migratory songbirds, winter means a trip to the sunny south. Not so the Snow Bunting, a small, mostly white bird that breeds in the high Arctic and whose winter range dips south only as far as temperate Canada and the northern United States.
