Double-crested Cormorant Great Lakes Habitat

Double-crested Cormorants are usually found around swampy woodlands, ponds, lakes and along the shores of the Great Lakes. The birds feed mainly on schooling fish such as alewives, smelt and yellow perch, but will also eat salamanders, reptiles, mollusks and some crustaceans.
