The River Talk series continues in Duluth this month. On Wed. Nov. 9, 7 p.m. at Black Woods Grill & Bar (2525 London Rd.) Kris Eilers with the St. Louis River Alliance will present, “Creating a Perfect Plover Place.”

The Lake Superior National Estuarine Research Reserve and the Minnesota and Wisconsin Sea Grant programs have teamed to offer this series of informal evening talks about the St. Louis River Estuary. Everyone is invited to these informal “River Talks,” which will be held through April. Check the River Talk website for details. If you miss a talk, visit Wisconsin Sea Grant’s “Great Lakes Takes” blog for a summary.
