* The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources has produced a Boaters' Advisory that describes four actions boaters should take to help prevent the spread of zebra mussels from the Great Lakes to inland waters. * Minnesota Sea Grant is offering a free Zebra Mussel Update fact sheet for recreational boaters. The one-page sheet features 13 common questions and answers about the zebra mussel and what boaters can do about it. * Ohio Sea Grant is offering an updated version of its free four-page zebra mussel fact sheet called Zebra Mussels in the Great Lakes: The Invasion and Its Implications. The Zebra Mussel Update was a 4- to 8-page quarterly national newsletter published by the University of Wisconsin Sea Grant Institute from May 1990 through May 1997. The ZMU documented the spread of the zebra mussel -- an exotic nuisance mussel -- through North America's freshwater environments, especially the Great Lakes, and on efforts to control it.
